This is my photo of McCullom Grocery in Juliette GA. This was such a charming little place I wanted to do something with the photo using textures in layers that I made... playing with layers to maybe give the impression of a painting. First I edited the photo to give it some warmth and take out electric lines. I also removed a telephone pole. I applied a dry-brush filter, backed off then applied a very small amount of angled brush work. I then overlaid two textures I made. One in golds and one made with very bold brush stokes in golds, blues and whites. I added a burlap texture to that. Both layers were "hard light" layers. I then took some green with a soft brush, 30% and brought back out the front of the building, leaving most of the texture around the edges to give it more of that painterly feel.
